Posted on Dec 02, 2012 This procedure worked for me, I was able to excess the fuse box, it did require a bit of strength to remove the molding at the base of the door frame, I would suggest doing this outside with good lighting and not inside a garage with a trouble light. Pull levers out on each side of fuse box cover and lift. . If this is rusted underneath then water is getting via the wheel arch open end of the tube. The vehicle may not be equipped with all of the fuses, relays, and features shown.
Each light assembly has two nuts, remove these and assembly will slide out for easy replacement. Fuse boxes are located on both the driver side and passenger side. Leave the carpet on the drivetrain hump end pretty much in place. Tube is about 2 inches wide. That could cause a short as well. Reach in and pull the carpet forward.
The rear seat cushion must be removed to access the rear fuse block. Pull the seat up and forward. Diesel fuel delivery may be restricted. Posted on Jan 20, 2011 The driver's side rear fuse block is located under the rear seat on the driver's side of the vehicle. While you're in the backseat, check all the fuses, there's a second fusebox on the passenger side. Covered it with plastic flashing replaced the wheel arch lining. The diagram is inside the fuse box cover. This is to adhere Velcro to the carpet. Remove the plastic molding facing the rear.
The fusebox cover comes off vertically by pressing on the latches at the narrow ends. I removed the rear drivers side wheel, pulled away the plastic wheel arch lining then sealed the hole where the wiring leads through this pipe. You have to push very hard then lift to release the seat from the clip. Inside the cover identifies what fuse is for what function. Propane and other fuels are not provided through this service. The Fuse boxes are long narrow black boxes. Also, check floor behind driver's seat for wetness and water.
Pull hard and you will expose the plastic fuse box. Apr 02, 2012 There are 2 fuse boxes, they are called Bussed Electrical Centers. Also take off the plastic cover just under the far left side of the seat. Lift up rear seat on drivers side and you will see a steel tube running from the wheel arch under the seat. So begin pulling the carpet forward toward the outside of the car being careful to keep the velcro from reattaching.
Hopefully it is a blown fuse, otherwise my guess would be a short in the wiring some where. Took 30 mins to repair, took a week to dry the carpet, rear seats and boot carpet. Then lift the cover off. I started by first pulling up the plastic door threshold. To access the fuse block, push in the two tabs located at each end of the fuse block cover. When you pull back the velcro connection behind the staples directly under the seat it folds up and the carpet you want to pull forward is exposed but really tightl against the back. There are usually two clips.
