I love the fact that the author, Danielle Walker, has a true passion for comfort food and not any ol' recipe will do just to fill a book. As we select our new recipes, I will leave updates. The recipes are based on Walker's personal version of the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, and so many of them are still suitable for that diet, and the whole book is grain and dairy free, as well as free of refined sugars. Walker mentions that Bob's Mill almond flour is a small grainy, and I found it to be real when I was sifting the almond flour and coconut flours together. Easy-to-follow instructions are complemented by mouthwatering photos that seem to burst off the page with flavor. We bought the kindle ver which is fine, but some may prefer the actual book.

We haven't done a ton of desserts, but the dinners have been spectacular. I was also out of usable baking soda so I subbed two teaspoons of baking powder and sifted the almond flour to break up clumps.
